Town Of Berlin
On Tuesday July 12, 2011 the Local Union and the Town of Berlin reached a
tentative agreement, through federal mediation. We will be putting the T.A.
agreement out to vote to our membership on Tuesday July 19, 2011
- 5 Year Term
- Increase shift differential
- Increase in days carried over for sick days
- Additional paid personal days
- Increase in carry over for vacation days
- Increase in paid boot/ shoe allowance
- Increase in special duty pay $23 to $30 per hour
- Wages - 3% each year of agreement
- New - long term disability coverage - no cost to the employee
- Fitness Program - reimburse up to $350.00
- New - 1 day pay for time off for traumatic on duty accident
- New - $1.00 increase when training
- Health Care - Employee responsible for 1st year 20%, 2nd year 30%, 3rd
year 40%, 4th year 50%, 5th year 50%. This is for the deductible

We will be holding a contract proposal meeting on July 28, 2011 at LaQuinta
in St. Albans. Contract expires on September 30, 2011
